We feel that by ensuring that youth programs are available in the Okanagan and that all kids have an equal opportunity to participate in them is an important investment in the future of our community.”

Since 1996 The Harvest Golf Club and the Sandman Hotel Group have raised more than $1 million with 47 beneficiaries receiving help from the foundation. The annual Sandman Harvest Celebrity Golf Classic helps medically, emotionally, physically and financially disadvantaged children living in the Okanagan Valley. It provides funding for life saving and life changing surgeries for children that would not otherwise have the funding or capacity.

As corporate citizens, this is a duty we will always strive to fulfill."
 
The Sandman Harvest Foundation ensures that 100 percent of the money raised goes to children in need. In addition to the YMCA-YWCA funds go to many Okanagan charities including the Kelowna General Hospital Foundation, Big Brothers and Sisters and Special Olympics. Money from the foundation is also given to individual families to help cover costs that arise as a result of their individual financial circumstance or illness.
