Based on the principles of human dignity, equality, justice and peace, the mission of the YMCA-YWCA of the Central Okanagan is to support the development of strong individuals, families and communities in body, mind and spirit and to connect with and support the Y’s global family.

Our Vision for 2010

• The YMCA YWCA of the Central Okanagan is relevant in meeting the health and wellness needs of the community it serves and is financially viable.

• The YMCA-YWCA is serving more people throughout the Central Okanagan.

• YMCA-YWCA staff is well qualified and committed and the Board of Directors is influential and connected.

• With a philanthropic culture, the YMCA-YWCA has the sustaining funds necessary to achieve its vision.

• Internal processes support efficient and effective operations and governance.
