A family is more than a collection of individuals living together. A family is a source of support, togetherness and growth. At our Y, we experience the joys of family every single day.

The Kelowna Family Y is a centre of activities for families. From parent and tot swims, birthday parties, sports activities, and indoor playtime, our Y families play and grow together. With renovations complete as of 2002, we now have a more open design where parents and children participating in different activities can interact.

Today’s families are changing and The YMCA–YWCA of the Central Okanagan is responding. Our Nobody’s Perfect program provides workshops on effective parenting to young families while encouraging supportive relationships among young parents. In addition, our Y’s Membership Financial Assistance Program has helped many families enjoy healthy activities together without worrying about how they will be able to afford it.
