General

Where are you located?
The Kelowna Family Y is located at 375 Hartman Road in Rutland. From Highway 33, follow Rutland Road, past Leathead, then to Hartman.

Where can I park?
The Kelowna Family Y has numerous handicap and regular parking spaces around its facility. For overflow parking we share a large parking lot with the Rutland Arena, Secondary School and soccer fields. Peak times vary with seasons and school operating months. We ask that you drive safely and obey posted speed limits when entering the Y parking lot.

Do I need a membership to use your facility?
No. Public swim, fitness classes and our conditioning rooms are also available at public drop-in rates. If you are planning to use the KFY on a regular basis, it may be to your advantage to inquire about the benefits of membership.

Are your membership prices and policies competitive?
Research in the Kelowna area shows that the KFY is one of the best values for the service our members receive. With a new facility and a variety of fitness/aquatic/childcare programs, we believe the Y is a great place for your health and wellness needs.

Oops, I forgot my Card...
The Kelowna Family Y issues photo card memberships. You must present this card each time you come to use the facility. If you forget your card, please approach our Membership Services staff for admittance. If you are unable to find your card within a week, you will be asked to purchase a replacement.

Does the KFY provide lockers?
We are pleased to provide members with free locker service in the downstairs change rooms and upstairs conditioning rooms. You are requested to leave keys or your membership card at the Membership Services desk in exchange for a locker key. If you require a lock for larger lockers, you may purchase a lock for $5.00 or bring your own. Key lockers are available on a first come first served basis.

Can I register for programs over the phone?
Yes. We do, however, require credit card payment at the time of registration; we do not hold spots for individuals.

Where do I register for programs that are held at locations other than the Kelowna Family Y?
Unless otherwise noted in the Programs Brochure, registration for all programs held at other locations (example: Out of School Care) are taken at the Kelowna Family Y.
