About the Y

A Place for Everyone

For over 25 years, the YMCA-YWCA of the Central Okanagan has provided thousands of children and adults with programs and services dedicated to personal growth and community development.

We support the building of strong kids, families and communities in spirit, mind and body through:

• Promoting health, recreation and wellness
• Strengthening our children and youth by building leadership skills, philanthropic attitudes and a global perspective
• Promoting childcare in a values-rich and safe environment – the Y is Canada’s largest childcare service provider
• Offering employment training and counseling through our Career Contact Centres for Youth
• The spirit of volunteerism – helping individuals develop a responsibility for self, community and the world

And most importantly, the Y, and all that we offer, is accessible to everyone, regardless of ability to pay.
